grilled cheese virgin marys are sooo last year. the latest weird ebay trend? people auctioning ad space on their bodies. foreheads, backs, bald heads, cleavages, even pregnant bellies have been auctioned off for thousands of dollars to an array of companies who claim enormous ROI. the tattoos are mostly temporary, though i did read about a guy who allowed an actual permanent tattoo to be inked onto his face. I think bob garfield of ad age sums it up best: "The advertiser is getting damaged goods because people who sell body parts for ad space are entirely too freakish by definition to transmit a positive message for the advertising". indeed.
