hall of lame
just back from the NASCAR Hall of Fame rally at the Capitol. it was hot and sticky and rather anticlimactic, but i still hope we get it (and according to my source, we have a good shot). a few obersvations from the rally...
hall of lame: richmond times-dispatch for selling their leftover promotional newspaper inserts (unfold it for your very own NASCAR Hall of Fame banner!) at the rally.
hall of shame: the loser race fan who threw his cigarette butt into the gutter while crossing the Capitol grounds.
hall of fame: my buddy Dave, who called the guy out on it and shamed him into picking it up. (priceless quote from the butt-thrower as to why he couldn't put it in the trash can: "i don't want to start a fire" (pronounced like "far").
good luck Richmond! (or 'git er done' or whatever it is race fans say).
