i'm a recent craigslist convert (think classified ads, but free and grassrootsier). a gem from the richmond board: this person, who's offering piano lessons in trade for a henrico ibook (they're willing to kick in the $50 selling price, plus an amount of lesson time equal to the time the seller spent in line for the ibook). call me crazy, but i'm gonna go ahead and say that the savages who made it to the front of the line to get an ibook aren't really the piano-playing type.

shamelessly self-serving use of blog space: my own post on craigslist, to unload my used VAIO laptop. works fine, i just eventually overloaded the 10gb harddrive and had to wipe it clean and start over on a newer, higher-capacity laptop. make me an offer.
